FAMOUS SCOTTIES

Dan Watson with "Buffy" (Forrest & Flora pup) and "Angus" (Duff & Annie) in arms after the Victoria parade May 14/11.
Forrest & Flora can be seen on "retired" page and frequent the beach and ride in the bike trailer around Colwood, BC!
I have 5 Scotties within 7 minutes walking of each other there that are "owning" people that had not known each other before.

Well the dogs were quite a hit at the parade today :) Buffy and Angus did great!
Lots of Scotties there.

THE REAL BRIG O' DOON

The name of Lerner's imaginary locale was probably based on a well known Scottish landmark.  The real Brig o' Doon (Bridge of Doon), can be seen in Alloway, Scotland, in the heart of Robbie Burns country.

According to the tale made famous by Burns ,this ancient, single span bridge, constructed of stone in the 13th century, is the very bridge over which the legendary Tam o' Shanter fled on his horse Meg in order to escape from the three witches who were chasing him.

In the movie, Brigadoon is a Scottish village in a Highland mist that you can only see every 100 years. I feel Scotties are a lot like Brigadoon, you only see an enchanted breed like the Scottie every 100 years.
